Chapter 2

In this section we are going to discuss basic microbiology and testing.  The purpose of this chapter is to provide you a basic understanding of yeast, mold, spores, and bacteria.  We'll discuss Total Yeast and Mold Counts, and the different methods of how it is tested and counted.

Basic Microbiology

This section may not be necessary for everyone, but it is good to know a bit about what we are trying to kill with the APEX and to have an understanding of how microbial testing works. Essentially there are 4 different types of things to be aware of.  These are yeast, mold, mold spores, and bacteria.
